Junior Elite (Ages 15-18)

Schedule

  • Spring/Summer Training Begins April 20th

  • Three (3) Phases over 17 weeks (ending Aug 14th)

  • 4 strength workouts per week

  • Mon. Tues. Thur, Fri 10:00am am-11:30 am

  • Open Gym (Key Fob Fees apply)

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

         In the Jr. Elite Hockey Program athletes are now starting to specialize in their sport. Therefore 

this program will include individualized sports specific, periodized training to help handle the 

volume and intensity of a lengthy upcoming season. There will be a focus on strength, power 

and speed training as well as an injury prevention, recovery, mobility and overall movement 

pattern component. For this program a long-term athlete development protocol will be 

implemented with a primary focus on technique and building a solid athletic foundation that 

is more resistant to injuries.  

 PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS

  • Mandatory Heart Rate Monitoring (Monitor must be compatible with Polar, can be purchased thru APS

  • Pre and Post exercise snacks and meals provided (breakfast choices)

  • Pre and during workout Supplementation (NSF Approved)

  • NormaTec recovery station 

  • Massage Guns 

  • Our Dietitian will focus on advancing nutrition knowledge in specific areas to sports performance and provide the tools to encourage the development of an individual fueling recovery protocol
