U16 ATHLETE DEVELOPMENT
PROGRAM OVERVIEW
In the U16 Athlete Development Program athletes are now starting to specialize in their sport.
Therefore this program will include:
periodized training to help handle the volume and intensity of a lengthy upcoming season. There will be a focus on strength,
power and speed training as well as an injury prevention, recovery, mobility and overall movement patterns. For this program a
longterm athlete development protocol will be implemented with a primary focus on technique and building a solid athletic foundation that is more resistant to injuries.
