Meet the Team
Jon Reid is a former Junior & University Hockey player who went on to complete a Bachelor of Physical Education, along with a Master's in Exercise Muscle Physiology at Memorial University. With over 20 years of training experience both as a player and coach. Jon and his team from Atlantic Pro Sports have taken sport specific training to a whole new level.
Jennifer Roberts is a registered dietitian specializing in disease prevention/management, weight loss, rehabilitation, and sports and exercise performance. Jennifer completed her undergraduate degree at Memorial University of Newfoundland (2006), and her Master’s Degree at University of Guelph in Ontario (2010). Her services range from one-on-one consults, group packages and workshops. Jennifer is a member of Newfoundland and Labrador College of Dietitians.
Jennifer is proud to be working with the multidisciplinary team at Body Quest and Atlantic Pro Sports. Through this collaboration, she has developed weight loss programs and has reached a number of athletes to help them understand the importance of good nutrition. Jennifer is very passionate about sports, health, and wellness, which is why she is completed specialized training in area of sports nutrition. Jennifer believes that for an athlete to be their best, they first need to provide their body with the optimal fuel!
Nicole received a Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition from St. Francis Xavier University in 2016. She went on to complete her Dietetic Internship in 2017 with Aramark Healthcare in Central Newfoundland. Nicole is a current member of Dietitians of Canada and is registered with the Newfoundland and Labrador College of Dietitians. Nicole has experience counselling clients in various topics such as weight management, diabetes education, chronic disease prevention and management, and general healthy eating for individuals and families. Nicole uses nutrition as an all-encompassing tool to help clients achieve a healthy lifestyle, and strives to understand what food and nutrition means to her clients and how these relationships impact all aspects of their lives.
Rodi Short is a former Major Junior & Pro hockey player who spent the better part of 15 years playing and training on and off the ice. After multiple years of playing pro hockey in Europe, Rodi decided to come back to his home in Newfoundland and become a personal trainer helping the next generation of youth in our province reach their goals and chase their dreams!
Mackenzie is a elite multi-sport athlete and former University soccer player who went on to complete a Bachelor Of Kinesiology. She is a certified Kinesiologist and CSEP-CPT, with over 20 years experience as an athlete, trainer and coach. She also is a two time cancer survivor which inspires her to create high energy and enthusiasm to challenge young adults to fight adversity to gain confidence and achieve greatness.
